This includes tailoring it to support their own internal systems and business requirements, such as bill validation programmes, which will enable businesses to process and validate their energy bills more cost-effectively.

The XML system changes the way that billing data is transmitted by using modern, inexpensive internet based technology providing a future proof alternative to the existing EDI industry format. While XML, like conventional forms of EDI, allows for billing data to be processed quickly and efficiently it also makes data more accessible particularly for SMEs who do not use specific software to process their utility bills. It creates the potential to view data in a standard web browser and to distribute this within the organisation if required. Data provided in XML format can also be used to populate spreadsheets, allowing for some basic analysis of consumption data.

A general OHS induction course providing basic knowledge about relevant laws, common hazards and risks likely to be encountered on construction sites, the aim of this course was to serve as a pre-requisite to undertaking any construction-related task on a site. The online version of the course was already available, however Axial Training was keen on offering eLearning courses that were high on engagement and interaction.

Keeping in line with Axial Training’s requirement, Upside Learning designed the course so as to offer the learners situations showing various activities being carried out (correctly and incorrectly). Learners are needed to identify whether or not the actions are correctly implemented, what specific aspects are right or wrong, what should have been done to ensure safety, etc. Inclusion of simple scenarios allows learners to apply OHS concepts and guidelines in hypothetical situations. “This module eliminates redundant paper work and manual GL coding by moving the functionality from MAS 90/200/500 over to EZCM,” she said. “Once the user has scanned an invoice into EZCM, she/he can pull up the code table, find and apply as many codes as needed, apply the corresponding amounts, and electronically route the AP expense invoice for approval, all within the EZCM Process Manager workflow engine. When the electronic invoice approvals are complete, EZCM exports the data to the Sage MAS ERP for billing. The whole operation is virtually seamless.”
